My baby is a THUMB SUCKER!

So just last night Jenson discovered his thumb! He went through a phase where he would fuss and only take his binky for a few days, but then he found this really neat thing that is attached to his hand! It is so funny, because he hasn't figured out the thumb-sucking fist yet, so his hand covers his face. Jake tried to teach him how to do it the "right way," but Jens likes to do things his way. :)

Fri (4 days ago) with Jens!

I'm a little late, sorry grandmas! But don't worry I still took pictures! We laid around... and smiled and talked to mom!

Friday with Jenson

Yesterday Jenson had his 2 month check up, and he got his shots! He was so brave and only cried for a minute. Luckily dad was there to hold his hand because this mom wasn't getting anywhere near those shots! He is such a big boy:
Weight: 12 lbs 12 oz (90th percentile)
Height: 24.5 in (75th percentile)
Head: 16 in (66th percentile)
The Dr. said at this rate he'll be 6'5"! He must get it from his tall uncles!
This is when daddy was taking his temp. to make sure he wasn't running a fever after shots!

I love this picture! Jake gets Jenson out of bed in the mornings to cuddle! They both didn't appreciate the flash though!

Jenson's Blessing

Jenson got blessed by his daddy 2 weeks ago, I'm a little slow on the post! But it was such a great day, Jake did a great job, you couldn't even tell he was "the most nervous he's ever been in his life." :) I am so proud of my boys, I love them so much! And I am so grateful for the family and friends who were able to attend, we took up every single big row in our little chapel! Thanks friends and family for all of your help that day, and for your support and love, we love you and I don't know what we would do without you!
In the circle of priesthood holders that blessed him, Jenson had 2 grandpas, 3 great grandpas, 3 uncles, 2 great uncles, 1 second cousin, and 2 best friend's dads! What a lucky little boy to have those role models in his life!

Jenson's first day at church!

After Dr.'s orders and me being a paranoid mommy about germs, Jens went to his first day of church today at 6 weeks old. I don't know how anybody gets ready for church with more than one kid, Jenson peed all over when I was trying to get him dressed, and then as we were walking out the door he pooped and we had to hurry and change him. SO needless to say, we were late. We are learning, hopefully we'll get it someday! He looked so handsome in his church outfit and was such a good boy, except for he was tooting in Sunday School when Jake was trying to give the lesson and our 15 year olds thought it was great. :) Next week Jens will be getting blessed and you are all invited, hopefully we can make it on time, if not, save us a seat!!

My handsome boys all ready for church!

What I love about my Jenson

  • I love his big kissable lips I want to kiss them all the time!
  • I love his chubby cheeks and fat rolls he is getting
  • I love his little scowl on his face that seems to be there more than it is not!
  • I love how his little tiny fingers tickle me when I'm feeding him
  • I love how when he is fussy he calms down when he hears my voice
  • I love how he cries sometimes when he is trying to poop, it's funny :)
  • I love his gummy grin!
  • I love how he kicks and kicks and his little legs when he gets excited and when he is mad
  • I love how he loves to cuddle, and sometimes when he cries the only thing he wants is to be held
  • I love how when I give him a pacifier he scowls and rolls his eyes but takes it anyways
  • I love the little noises and squeeks he makes when he is eating and sleeping

I love you Jens, SO MUCH!

Friday w/ Jenson!

Today Jenson came with me to the doctors. He is such a good boy when I have to pack him around! I can't believe how big and fat he has gotten! It kind of makes me sad, but at the same time, I am so excited to see him grow! The first picture is when he came home from the hospital, and the big picture is him today, 6 weeks later!

Fri. W/ Jens!!

I know it's only my second friday with Jenson and I'm already slacking, but Friday nights are hard to blog, so they all might be a little late! This last Friday we were a little lazy, we stayed at home but I still got some pics! Over the course of the day I got peed on twice, and baby J pooped in the tub. Being a mom is sooo glamorous! Here are some pictures of more of Jenson's funny faces! Not so sure about the tub, but he doesn't scream so it can't be too bad!

But.. he is pretty sure that he hates being cold after taking a bath!

Fridays With Jenson!

Jenson was born on a Friday, and my mom wants me to make sure I post a picture every Friday so she can get a good weekly update. Also, we are going to make a scrapbook when he turns one of every week for the first year of his life, so we can see how much he changes! So, since it is the 4th Friday that Jenson has been here, I am going to play catch up: Birthday: July 17th, 2009
Friday #1: July 24thFriday #2: We got his pictures taken from Sarah Ward
Friday #3: Just hanging out with mom

Friday #4: Right before he threw a fit because he misses his grandma!

He is growing so fast, I can't believe he is already almost 1 month old! Even though he is growing up too fast already, we are getting more used to things and starting to figure out routines, and I am starting to feel like I know what I am doing! :) I can't wait for a million more Fridays, being a mom is the best! I love my little man!

Reason # 1,047 my husband is the BEST!

He is SO handy!

Just when I thought it was the perfect time to be bringing a baby home,

boy was I Wrong!
2 nights ago Jake brought it to my attention that it is ACTUALLY the Perfect time to take out all of Jenson's bedroom furniture, rip up our hardwood floors, redo the flooring, and hurry and put everything back together before he gets here!

Who Woulda Thunk?!

lol, I love you Jakey.

{At least we have something to do besides sit around and wait for the little guy.}

My Naughty Baby Boy...

So here we are at week 39... and still not dilated at all! My doctor told me today that I will probably go a week over my due date, which is the 15th, so maybe by the 22nd I'll have my baby boy here? BUMMER, why can't my pregnant body cooperate with my impatient heart and put me into labor? I go to the Dr.'s wanting good news, and for 3 weeks now it's been, "see you next week!" I hate that! Jenson is officially grounded when he gets here for being tardy. He's not leaving the house for weeks! :) BIG TROUBLE!

BOOOOOOOOOO!

I just went to the Dr. and he said I'm about 50% effaced, but not dilated at all. Jenson's head is still kind of high, and if he was a betting man, he would bet a lot of money that I'm not having a baby in the next week! Bummer dude, I was sort of hoping he would be as anxious to get here as I am for him to get here! Oh well, maybe next week, after doing some acrobatics he'll be closer! :) Probably still another 3 weeks until he's ready, so we'll all just have to pray that I can have the gift of PATIENCE!

Getting Ready!

I'm 36 1/2 weeks pregnant and I look like I'm ready to pop! I have been trying to get things ready around the house so that Jenson can get here, and I think I'm almost ready! Thanks to so many family and friends for spoiling him, he has a dresser full of clothes and a cute nursery that I love to just sit in and wait. I am still teaching swim lessons and finishing my class of summer school, but overall taking it easy, and I feel fine!

Jenson's bedding Aunt Suzee made him, it's so cute I love it, and I love her!

Tomorrow at the Dr.'s we will find out if I am dilated at all and if this little guy is going to be coming any time soon! I can't wait!

xoxo

Happy Mother's Day!!

I know it doesn't entirely count, but I feel more like a mother than I ever have... so I'm counting today as kind of my first mother's day. I just laid in bed this morning feeling Jenson kick me and roll around like no other not believing that in about 2 months (!!!!) he'll finally be out here and I'll be a mommy! I can't wait! Then my wonderful husband made me breakfast in bed and then I went back to sleep and slept in waaaaay in longer than I ever do, and I cried through a really nice long letter. I think he's a keeper, he is such a loving husband and is going to be the best daddy ever, I love you Jake!

MOM: Since it is mothers day I wanted to tell you about my mom. She is awesome, and she my best friend. She grew up in California and was baptized a member of the church when she was 16. She met my dad at Rick's College and they got married in LDS Oakland Temple when she was 19. Her family couldn't be there, which was very hard for her, but because of her example I always wanted to get married in the temple too because even if it is hard, she showed me that it is important. My mom is the craftiest and most creative person I know. She is always coming up with cute ideas for stuff. I could always tell her everything growing up, she let me make my own mistakes and she even knew about all of them.Okay and the few things she didn't know about back then, she knows about now, I've confessed it all! :) She was there for everything I was ever involved in, even if I wasn't good at it she has always been my number 1 fan. She also taught me to follow my heart and accomplish my dreams. Even though it was so hard for both of us when I moved to Utah right out of high school, she encouraged me to grow up and get an education. She has always made me feel important and loved, I know the base of my self esteem was instilled me through her. She has the strongest testimony and is a great example of following what the Lord wants her to do. She has always worked so hard to make our home a place where you could feel the spirit and where everybody always wanted to be. She has always worked so hard in her church callings even if it was something that was hard for her. She was with my grandma almost everyday those last couple years when she was sick, even when it got so hard, my mom is the strongest and most loving person I know. I know that my grandma is so proud of her, and I'm sure my grandma feels a little proud herself for the person that my mom is. I am so blessed to have come from a line of such amazing women, that have been through so much and are so strong! I love you mom and thank you for being the perfect example of everything I want to become!UPDATE: Since I have been away from the blogging world for a while, here is an update on our little family:
-Jake is working really hard 6 days a week doing Real Estate and seems to love it even though it's a lot of work.
-I'm going to school through the summer, working one more month at the credit union, doing some swim lessons, and at some point giving birth.
-We planted our garden (well Jake planted our garden, I watched) and are just seeing some sprouts, so far we haven't killed anything yet! yay!
-Jenson's room is in the works, we've been working on it, but with only 2 months left before his arrival there is still so much to do!!!
-I am missing my family at home more than ever
-My hormones are out of whack and I cry way more than is necessary about everything and even about nothing, and Jake has been very very patient with me.
-Oh yeah, and my belly is huge!! 31 weeks down, 9 more to go! Time flies when you're having fun!

IT'S A BOY!!!

See look, all BOY!
We had our ultrasound about a week ago, I know I'm a little slow on the posting! I've just been too busy now that I know it's a boy! I had to make decorations for the nursery and pick up a few outfits! We are so excited, Jake is a proud daddy, and I am an anxious mama! Here's some pictures of our cute little guy, his name is Jenson Chad Argyle (Jenson is my maiden name, and Chad is Jake's dad/also Jake's middle name)

This one is my favorite! If you tilt your head to the right you can see him sticking out his tongue!

It was so neat to finally see that there is actually something in there, and I couldn't be happier to be having a boy! And in the past few weeks, I have gotten a lot bigger, I have a real baby belly now, and I can feel him moving around in there, which is very cool. We are so excited, and so in love already! My new due date is July 15th! Only 4 more months and we can hold our little Jenson in our arms, something I have waited my whole life for! I hope this goes by fast...

18 Weeks!

I am 18 weeks pregnant now, and I feel great! I know I barely have a belly, but it feels a lot bigger than it looks! It is the craziest feeling, I haven't felt it moving yet, but there is definitely something there, and apparently it's human?? I have had a pretty easy pregnancy, I feel great and can't compain at all, in fact I have loved being pregnant. At my Dr. appointments the first time we heard the heartbeat it sounded like a boy, the second time, it sounded like a girl, so I'm having one of the two! :) We find out for sure on March 5th, and it seems like that day is forever away! I can't wait to finally know who is coming into our family, is it a boy or a girl?? At first I thought I really wanted a girl first, but as time has gone on, I have decided that I just can't wait to have a baby, no matter what the gender! Jake and I are getting pretty excited, with me starting to get a little bump it is starting to feel a little more real. We spent the last weekend in St. George, and I had the hardest time with all of those baby outlets, I wish I could start it's cute little wardrobe! And I definitely can't wait to call it he/she instead of it! :)
