I know it doesn't entirely count, but I feel more like a mother than I ever have... so I'm counting today as kind of my first mother's day. I just laid in bed this morning feeling Jenson kick me and roll around like no other not believing that in about 2 months (!!!!) he'll finally be out here and I'll be a mommy! I can't wait! Then my wonderful husband made me breakfast in bed and then I went back to sleep and slept in waaaaay in longer than I ever do, and I cried through a really nice long letter. I think he's a keeper, he is such a loving husband and is going to be the best daddy ever, I love you Jake!
MOM: Since it is mothers day I wanted to tell you about my mom. She is awesome, and she my best friend. She grew up in California and was baptized a member of the church when she was 16. She met my dad at Rick's College and they got married in LDS Oakland Temple when she was 19. Her family couldn't be there, which was very hard for her, but because of her example I always wanted to get married in the temple too because even if it is hard, she showed me that it is important. My mom is the craftiest and most creative person I know. She is always coming up with cute ideas for stuff. I could always tell her everything growing up, she let me make my own mistakes and she even knew about all of them.Okay and the few things she didn't know about back then, she knows about now, I've confessed it all! :) She was there for everything I was ever involved in, even if I wasn't good at it she has always been my number 1 fan. She also taught me to follow my heart and accomplish my dreams. Even though it was so hard for both of us when I moved to Utah right out of high school, she encouraged me to grow up and get an education. She has always made me feel important and loved, I know the base of my self esteem was instilled me through her. She has the strongest testimony and is a great example of following what the Lord wants her to do. She has always worked so hard to make our home a place where you could feel the spirit and where everybody always wanted to be. She has always worked so hard in her church callings even if it was something that was hard for her. She was with my grandma almost everyday those last couple years when she was sick, even when it got so hard, my mom is the strongest and most loving person I know. I know that my grandma is so proud of her, and I'm sure my grandma feels a little proud herself for the person that my mom is. I am so blessed to have come from a line of such amazing women, that have been through so much and are so strong! I love you mom and thank you for being the perfect example of everything I want to become!UPDATE: Since I have been away from the blogging world for a while, here is an update on our little family:
-Jake is working really hard 6 days a week doing Real Estate and seems to love it even though it's a lot of work.
-I'm going to school through the summer, working one more month at the credit union, doing some swim lessons, and at some point giving birth.
-We planted our garden (well Jake planted our garden, I watched) and are just seeing some sprouts, so far we haven't killed anything yet! yay!
-Jenson's room is in the works, we've been working on it, but with only 2 months left before his arrival there is still so much to do!!!
-I am missing my family at home more than ever
-My hormones are out of whack and I cry way more than is necessary about everything and even about nothing, and Jake has been very very patient with me.
-Oh yeah, and my belly is huge!! 31 weeks down, 9 more to go! Time flies when you're having fun!
